Open Protocol

Privacy isn't a feature.
It's the architecture.

PoSec is built so that privacy isn't a setting you toggle on — it's mathematically impossible for anyone (including us) to violate.

Encryption

Signal Protocol — military-grade, open standard

Every message is encrypted on your device before it ever touches our servers. We use the same protocol trusted by security researchers worldwide:

  • X3DH Key Exchange — Extended Triple Diffie-Hellman establishes a shared secret between two parties, even if one is offline.
  • Double Ratchet — Every single message gets a unique encryption key. Even if one key is compromised, past and future messages remain safe.
  • AES-256-GCM — The same encryption standard used by governments for classified data. Authenticated encryption that detects any tampering.
  • Curve25519 — Elliptic curve cryptography for key generation. Faster and more secure than RSA at equivalent key sizes.
Your message
Encrypted on device
Server sees only blobs
Decrypted by recipient
Zero Knowledge

We can't read your messages. By design.

This isn't a policy — it's math. Our servers never hold your private keys. They physically cannot decrypt your data.

What our server stores

  • Encrypted message blobs
  • Your public key (for key exchange)
  • Encrypted group metadata
  • Encrypted media blobs

What our server NEVER has

  • Your private key
  • Plaintext messages
  • Your contacts list
  • Message content or metadata
Identity

Your key pair is your identity

No phone number. No email. No KYC. Your identity on PoSec is a cryptographic key pair generated on YOUR device.

Self-sovereign

You own your identity. No company controls it. If PoSec disappears, your key pair still works.

Anonymous by default

Pick any username. No verification needed. Your real identity is never required or collected.

Portable

Your 12-word recovery phrase restores your identity on any device. No "forgot password" — you ARE the password.

Privacy shouldn't be a luxury.

Start messaging with real encryption. Free forever.
